The “Music from Batumi” Radio Festival – an unparalleled event! Our story begins in 2023. Five scorching days of August become even hotter with original music, where the rhythm of the city is heard on FM 104.5 and reaches the heart of the region. This is not just a festival – it’s a musical adventure that combines the vibrant energy of Batumi’s streets, the magic of spontaneous concerts, and the limitless possibilities of radio broadcasting.
Our mission: to support local singer-songwriters, promote original music, and foster collaboration among original music performers nationwide. We create a platform for musicians, from street concerts to radio airwaves. Our country is distinguished by boundless musical talent; each region has extraordinary musicians. We are proud of this and strive to promote the talent of our region beyond our country’s borders.
The festival was founded with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Adjara, as well as the local municipality and the private sector. Since its inception, individuals, organizations, and companies who understand the necessity of supporting original music have stood by the festival. Their contribution is invaluable, and the festival always expresses its gratitude.

Teona Zedania
The girl who is constantly talking into the microphone! For Teona, radio isn’t just a job; it’s a boundless world where music and culture know no borders.
Teona, a radio host, whose every project, every idea – like a magical musical wave – always returns to the radio airwaves. Her hobby, music, merged so seamlessly with her profession that the result is the extraordinary radio festival “Music from Batumi”!
Teona firmly believes that radio is the greatest ambassador for spreading culture, one that has no boundaries. It not only disseminates but also preserves an entire cultural history that defines our past, present, and future. “Culture is the only universal language we should speak to the world,” says Teona, and it is with this mission that she creates a festival that makes Batumi speak the language of music!

Ilia Shavishvili
Meet Ilia Shavishvili – a man for whom music is not just a hobby, but a way of life, a philosophy, and an unyielding mission! Ilia is a musician who best understands the soul and significance of original music. He firmly believes that a musician has no future without original creations, and that covers can only “fill the stomach” and nothing more.
For years, Ilia worried that there was no space in Batumi where musicians could introduce their work to a wider audience. This very concern eventually led him to transform his worries into a festival – a festival that fills this void!
Ilia is not just a musician. He is also a radio host who uniquely appreciates and masterfully wields the engineering of proper sound delivery. His knowledge of radio and festivals is so vast that it could no longer be contained in one space, so he decided to share this treasure with the younger generation as well. This is how he became an excellent guitar teacher for children. Not content with this, he also created a YouTube channel for guitar video lessons, firmly determined that all of Georgia should learn to play the guitar!

Over the years, both on and off the air, Teona Zedania and Ilia Shavishvili came to know each other’s capabilities intimately. Their many years of experience as radio hosts not only forged a professional bond but also an unwavering friendship and mutual trust. Both are gifted with a talent for organizing cultural events, where Ilia’s calm demeanor perfectly balances Teona’s hyper-emotionality, making their tandem unique.
Their strong friendship and utmost professionalism have created numerous interesting projects in the field of culture. They have won many competitions together, and the culmination of their work became the original music radio festival “Music from Batumi.” This festival is like a true child to them – they nurture, protect, and care for it as they would their own creation.
